When leading others, it is important to have good leadership skills. Thats why its important for anyone in a supervisory position to attend a good educational leadership course or seminar. Leading others requires specific skills that can be taught.
First of all, you need good interpersonal skills. If others dont like you, theyre not going to listen to you. Second, you have to be assertive and sure of yourself. Even if youre not in a leadership position, you can benefit from a good educational leadership course or seminar. These teach you assertiveness, how to think on your feet and how to get things done.
A good educational leadership course is a great way to go to learn the skills necessary in order to effectively lead a group. After all, a team just isnt a team without a good leader.
